Description

Kirsten Nash artist statement:
“As soon as I start feeling boxed in, I start looking for a way out…every canvas, each piece of music I write or perform represents a puzzle in need of solving.” Born in San Francisco, raised on Vancouver Island before making her home in Vancouver, Canada, Kirsten Nash loves puzzles. A lifetime recording and touring musician/composer, she has always created art of one kind or another. Self taught as an artist, Kirsten has explored sculpture, oil and acrylic painting on her path to visual expression. “My work definitely comes from an organic place; if I can’t feel it, you won’t feel it. For me, that’s what art is all about!” Kirsten Nash-Bio
